Restoration Paint Job
1954 Kaiser Darrin Sports Car

This extremely rare and beautiful '54 Darrin is one of only 435 manufactured and only one of nine finished in pine tint paint. As a unique and historical collectible, this car is a feature in and of itself! In the final stage of a complete restoration, Sabby's Auto did this recent restoration paint job for the owner Thomas Johnson of Waterford.

• 161CI 6 cylinder Willy's F-Head engine with 3 speed manual overdrive transmission
• Fully fiberglasss contruction mounted on Henry J Chassis
• Sliding doors and three-position folding top

Under cloak with his own money and utilizing a new Henry J. compact chassis design as the foundation for this unique masterpiece, auto designer Howard "Dutch" Darrin created the prototype for this concept sports car in his home studio after he had had it with Kaiser-Frazer changing his designs and this car became "The Sports Car the World Has Been Awaiting."

Custom and restoration paint jobs have to be done to very detailed specifications by the original manufacturer of the vehicle. With special patented slide doors, a front grille that sits up and kisses you as you look at this gorgeous car, a three-positioned folding convertible soft top with functional landau irons, and a fiberglass body, Sabby had to do research on the vehicle paint job, match the paint to the specific color, and follow the process instructions step-by-step because we take pride in what we do.
